Special Master: Investigations and Security/Trusted Neutral Third Party: independent fact-finding; verification of findings; management of inquiries where conflicts arise over issues of fact, and where there is a need by one or more parties for independent, neutral fact-finding or case management.

Used also as a Conflict Resolution tool by opposing parties to determine the true facts and circumstances surrounding an incident prior to or during Alternative Dispute Resolution.
